Who we are.
Highland Words is a communications consultancy focused on the planning and production of all things related to successful communication and branding. The hallmark of Highland Words is collaboration. We work with select entrepreneurs of diverse talents and equal commitment to excellence and integrity. We don't do graphic design, but we work with great designers. We won't proofread our own work (never a good idea) but we have a real pro on speed-dial. Need A LOT of original content in a hurry? We know writers. It works like that.
Recent clients include an Inc. 500/5000 tech company, a global membership organization, regional home improvement company, a community music school, a packaging company, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, and an author of historical fiction.

Martha Clement Rochford, Director
For decades I have loved my career in communications. I've worked in electoral politics, my own agency, as an expatriate, in child welfare, and marketing professional services. Since 2012 I have had the privilege of working with great people and organizations on communications, pr, writing, marketing, branding, and development projects. In addition to supporting all Highland Words clients, I have recently published articles in the Democrat & Chronicle newspaper, POST and Rochester magazines, and I am the exclusive biographer of a national leader in health care reform.
